TTi Players & Staff Represent TTi Over Weekend

November 11th 2019

TTi Staff Members, Lee Cullip and Ed Shone are now well along with their roles within South Texas ODP working with the Program this past weekend in Houston, Texas.

Cullip, who has previously coached within ODP Programs has taken the role of Head Coach or the 2005 Girls team. Cullip reflected on the weekend “The group is coming along really nicely. Rafa (2005 ODP assistant Coach) and I are pleased with the overall concept development and think that we will be able to represent ourselves well in the upcoming year” Cullip continued “it was Nice to see Jane Campbell out with the girls - the questions from the players were intelligent and prevalent”.

Jane Campbell, TTi’s Goalkeeper Coach and Houston Dash player made her way pitch-side to answer some questions prior to the second session of the day. The welcomed US International's faced some interesting questions that the players had about their quest to be both a college and professional player. A wonderful added benefit for the young players.

TTi Players were well represented at the ODP Event representing across both genders and several age groups.

TTi’s Chief Sports Scientist Ed Shone has continued to develop his role with ODP overseeing the science piece. Shone said “It’s good to get the players real time data, as it is an important piece of the puzzle for them going forwards. With such a young group the information is good for us and them to have” Shone mused. Shone has added both Heart Rate Monitor and GPPS Monitoring to the groups. In addition Shone has begun to work with the ODP Staff regarding session preparation and post training routines.

Gareth Glick, South Texas Director of Player Development had the following to say of the group “The 2005 ODP girls met this weekend at Houston Sports Park and continued to show improvement in their understanding of the ODP patterns of play under the guidance of TTi’s Lee Cullip and his assistant Rafael Reyna. We are excited to see their continued growth throughout this year” Glick finished.

The next event is December 1st in San Marcos.
