TTi Stay Perfect after 4-3 Home Win

June 12th 2019

Behind after 5 minutes, TTi rallied behind two Hannah Dauzat goals to continue the winning start to the season and come from behind to beat local rivals Albion Hurricanes FC Royals 4-3 at Presbyterian Outdoor Education Center (POEC).

With the 5th win in 5 games, TTi move a point behind top of the table Albion, having played 2 games less than their neighbors.

A minute after Albion took the lead, Dauzat picked up the ball in midfield and brilliantly fired home from 25 yards into the top corner.  Soon after, a great team move ended with Elena Santos finishing low into the far corner from a Tosh Minor cross.

Despite being pegged back again by an Albion goal making it 2-2, Minor then got onto the scoresheet herself, sliding in at the back post to convert a Siobhan Higgins cross and giving TTI a 3-2 lead at halftime.

Early in the second half, Albion again levelled the scores, bringing down a far post free kick and slotted past TTi goalkeeper Annabel Sweeney. The scoring was finally completed in the 70thminute when Dauzat got the winner, running onto a through ball and calmly placing it low out of the Albion goalkeepers reach.

A nervy 20 minutes then ensued as Albion pushed forwards looking for another equalizer but a much improved second half defense, marshalled by Cassidy Blanchard and Emily Townsend stood strong to see out a back and forth encounter.
